Nuvo - How it Works:

Nuvo brings the advanced technology of superior home sound together with the simplicity of user-friendly design. Their stylish Organic LED keypad designs offer full meta-data feedback from any docked iPod. Simply dock an iPod into any Nuvo iPod dock within the home and every room can browse and play music from that iPod on the keypads elegant digital display.

A Nuvo system must be wired into the home as it is being built, Ethernet (Cat-5) cables are run to each keypad location (typically next to light switches) from a central location where the Nuvo amplifier is stored. All the speakers in the home are then also wired back to that central location, in what residential integrators call a ‘home run'. iPod docks are also wired into the system via Ethernet cable, back to the amplifier or a wireless iPod dock can be specified.

To use the system simply tap one of the OLED keypads to turn it on, then you can browse through all your iPod music from the keypad, just as if you were using the iPod itself. The Nuvo system is a fully packaged 6 zone system, the system comes complete with 6 keypads, the amplifier and all the accessories, simple expansion options mean that up to 16 rooms can be specified, each of which can take control of up to 6 iPods docked throughout the home.
